Regional Representation for Local Community Involvement

Assuring that PSLC represents the voice of the community.

Regions and Latino Population by County (Census 2000)In 2002, the PSLC established four regional committees to meet periodically to identify and discuss issues and concerns related to the Latino community in their geographic areas. In addition to geographic representation, PSLC established a student committee to assure that the views of youth and full-time students are represented. These committees bring their perspective and findings on local issues and concerns to the Board of Directors for consideration in organizational planning and development. The chairpersons of the regional and student committees are charged with securing broad community representation in their committees.

Local Activism PSLC Cornerstones

The Regional and Student Committees are cornerstones of our organization as activists developing and implementing a proactive agenda for the political, social, educational and economic well-being of Latinos in Pennsylvania. They provide Latinos of all ages throughout the commonwealth with opportunities for direct input on PSLC policy and direction. All interested community members are encouraged to participate in the regional and student committees.
